Presentation to International Students

for The Language Centre,
University of Bristol

2 September 2010
Veronica Bowerman was invited to be a guest speaker and presenter to Chinese students  at the University of Bristol. The presentation took place in Lecture Theatre 1, in Chemistry and her subject was Extracts of Local and Social History from Henleaze.
Veronica highlighted connections with the University of Bristol and Henleaze which included Professor John Ziman F.R.S (1925-2005), the eminent theoretical physicist, who lived in Eastfield Lodge for 18 years. The boundary wall of the house now bears a blue plaque marking his global achievements.
